CBRN Training Organized at DSHMYO

Pamukkale University Denizli Vocational School of Health Services (DSHMYO) First and Emergency Aid Program organized an event on "Emergency Aid in Chemical Biological Radioactive Nuclear (CBRN) Disasters".

Pamukkale University educates its students as the health professionals of the future, while at the same time leading the way in social awareness and security issues. In this context, the event held at Denizli Vocational School of Health Services brought together students, lecturers and civil defense experts.

In the event, participants were provided with practical information on strategies to cope with chemical, biological, radioactive and nuclear disasters. ATT (Emergency technician) Yüksel Gülen and Nurse Gökhan Sayın provided students with practical examples to reinforce their emergency response skills. At the same time, special training materials and scenarios were used to raise participants' awareness of such disasters.

Speaking during the event, Head of First and Emergency Aid Program Lect. Dr. Mehmet Halil Öztürk said, "In such disaster situations, correct and rapid intervention is vital. Our event today aims to give our students the ability to cope with such situations. At the same time, we aim to better prepare our students by taking advantage of the experiences of our UMKE (National Medical Rescue Team) instructors."

The event aimed to contribute to the overall safety of society by enabling participants to learn how to effectively intervene in CBRN scenarios.
