Career Centers Come Together in KARDAN Project

The Innovative Career Counseling Training for University Career Center Employees (KARDAN) was attended by Research Assistant Yılmaz Hasret representing Pamukkale University Career Planning Application and Research Center.

Pamukkale University Career Planning Application and Research Center also participated in Innovative Career Counseling Training for University Career Center Employees (KARDAN), organized by the Middle East Technical University (METU) Career Planning Application and Research Center and supported by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) within the scope of 4005 Innovative Education Applications Support Program. 

In the training held between 8-12 May, the academic staff working in the career centers of 25 universities in 22 cities gained knowledge and skills about innovative career counseling practices. The motivation of TÜBİTAK to include students in the research ecosystem as early as possible and the role and importance of university career centers in this context were discussed in the training, where their support and work in this field were discussed.

The outputs obtained from the program were discussed with the lecturers working at university career centers, who received innovative and practical counseling training in order to effectively guide the students in their career journeys to the goals suitable for their education, talents and orientations.

The project, which also aims to create a common network between career centers, ended with a certificate ceremony with the participation of TÜBİTAK President Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal and METU Rector Prof. Dr.  Mustafa Verşan Kök.
