YÖK President Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar Chairs PAU Senate Meeting

Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar, President of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), who came to Denizli to deliver the opening lecture of Pamukkale University’s (PAU) 2026–2027 Academic Year, also attended the opening programme of the International Imam Bukhari Symposium and Pamukkale University’s Senate meeting on the same day.
As part of his programme in Denizli, YÖK President Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar first attended the opening programme of the International Imam Bukhari Symposium, hosted by Pamukkale University’s Institute of Islamic Studies in the Yatağan district of Denizli. He then visited Pamukkale University’s Kınıklı Main Campus and attended the university’s 2026–2027 Academic Year Opening Ceremony at the Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Yılmaz Congress and Cultural Centre. After delivering the opening lecture of the academic year, the YÖK President attended Pamukkale University’s Senate meeting, where he held consultations and discussions with the University’s Rector, Prof. Dr. Mahmud Güngör, and other Senate members regarding the University’s overall situation and operations.
