Held with the participation of academics and students, the event addressed the social importance of taxation, tax awareness, and the role of young people in this process. Denizli Tax Office Director Mustafa Özdemirci attended the talk, organized through the collaboration of PAU FEAS and the Denizli Tax Office Directorate, as the speaker. The event focused on the role of tax revenues in sustaining public services and the effects of tax awareness on individuals and society, while also addressing the contributions that tax awareness can provide to students in their professional and social lives.

Özdemirci emphasized that taxation is not only a legal obligation but also an important dimension of social responsibility. Stating that essential public services, particularly education, healthcare, security, and infrastructure, are maintained through tax revenues, Özdemirci noted that raising young people with tax awareness is essential for a strong and sustainable future.

During the talk, fundamental concepts related to the tax system, concrete practical examples, and current evaluations were shared with participants. The program concluded after participants’ questions were answered.
