The 7th Esser Analysis Congress (EsAn 2026), organized by Pamukkale University (PAU) between April 16–19, was successfully completed with an intensive four-day scientific program, bringing together approximately 320 participants representing 42 different universities across Türkiye.

The congress, which maintains its status as one of the most established scientific meetings in the field of esser analysis in our country, was held for the seventh time this year, reinforcing its position as a traditional platform contributing to the development of the field.

The event, chaired by Prof. Dr. Abdullah Akdoğan and Prof. Dr. Ümit Divrikli, brought together academics, undergraduate and graduate students, and industry representatives under one roof, creating a strong communication ground between scientists working in the field of esser analysis and industry.

In the opening session of the congress, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet İnel, representing the Rector of Pamukkale University, delivered a speech. In his remarks, Prof. Dr. İnel drew attention to the institutional support the university provides to scientific events, emphasized the importance of the 7th Esser Analysis Congress in terms of academia–industry cooperation, and wished all participants a productive congress process.

The distribution of participants clearly demonstrated the multi-stakeholder structure of the congress. Academics made up 48% of the participants, undergraduate and graduate students 37%, and industry representatives 6%. This balance showed that EsAn 2026 went beyond being merely an academic meeting and transformed into a qualified platform supporting academia–industry cooperation in a structured framework in the field of esser analysis.

Throughout the four-day sessions, researchers and students from different universities presented their current studies and original findings on trace element analysis, instrumental analytical methods, sample preparation techniques, and related application areas. Scientific presentations provided young researchers with the opportunity to share their work before a broad academic community, while dialogues with experienced academics contributed to deepening participants’ research perspectives.

Industry representatives who contributed to the program shared current trends in analytical instrumentation technologies, laboratory applications, and career opportunities through their presentations and demonstrations. In this way, students had the opportunity to relate their academic knowledge to practical applications and shape their career planning.

In addition to the scientific program, social events and technical visits contributed to the establishment of lasting professional networks among participants and added an interdisciplinary interaction atmosphere to the congress.

In their closing remarks, congress chairs Prof. Dr. Abdullah Akdoğan and Prof. Dr. Ümit Divrikli thanked all academics, students, industry representatives, and organizing committee members who contributed to the event, emphasizing that the Esser Analysis Congress will continue in future years as a scientific tradition.

The 7th Esser Analysis Congress drew attention as a successful organization that encourages scientific production, strengthens inter-university cooperation, and brings academia–industry relations onto an institutional ground. Participants stated that the congress was completed as a productive process both academically and socially, and expressed their expectations that similar events will continue in the coming years.
