The talk titled “Companies’ Sustainability Journey,” organized by the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Pamukkale University (PAU), was held at the Şehit Piyade Teğmen Bekir Can Kerek Conference Hall. The event featured Aydem Renewable Energy Strategy and Sustainability Director Hüseyin Güraslan and Strategy and Sustainability Manager Ali Rıza Bıyıklı as speakers, during which corporate sustainability practices were discussed.

The talk began with an opening address by the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Prof. Dr. Ender Coşkun. Hüseyin Güraslan then outlined the historical development of the concept of sustainability and emphasized the relationship between climate change and sustainability. Güraslan shared with participants the role of corporate sustainability tools—such as materiality analysis, stakeholder management, and risk assessment—in practical implementation. Ali Rıza Bıyıklı, on the other hand, focused on the financial aspects of sustainability. While explaining the functioning of carbon and emissions markets, Bıyıklı highlighted the importance of sustainability reporting standards for companies. In line with global climate targets, the strategic steps that companies should consider in their sustainability journeys were discussed in detail.

The talk concluded with a raffle held among students, during which gifts were presented to the selected participants.
