Rector Güngör Attended the Opening Program of EGEKAF’26 Hosted by ADU

Pamukkale University (PAU) Rector Prof. Dr. Mahmud Güngör attended the opening ceremony of the Aegean Career Fair (EGEKAF’26), held on April 15–16 and hosted by Aydın Adnan Menderes University (ADU), and visited PAU’s stand at the fair area.

The fair, coordinated by the Ministry of Labour and Social Security and İŞKUR, began with an opening ceremony held at the Tekstil Park Exhibition Area.

Prior to the fair, Rector Prof. Dr. Mahmud Güngör saw off PAU students departing from the campus by bus to attend EGEKAF’26. Meeting with students at the fairground, Rector Güngör stated that the fair brings together many companies from the public and private sectors and emphasized that EGEKAF offers important opportunities both in terms of internship possibilities and post-graduation employment processes.

The opening program was attended by public representatives, university rectors, and stakeholder institution administrators, with Rector Prof. Dr. Mahmud Güngör representing Pamukkale University. A large number of academics and students from Pamukkale University participated in the fair.

The program, which began with a moment of silence and the Turkish National Anthem, featured speeches emphasizing the contribution of career fairs to youth employment processes, the importance of public–university–private sector synergy, and the necessity for students to directly engage with the business world. Following the opening, the exhibition area was visited and stands were examined.

Within the scope of EGEKAF’26, PAU students had the opportunity to hold one-to-one meetings with institutions and companies, gain information for their career planning, and establish professional connections with representatives from different sectors.
