PAU Faculty of Education Wins Green Flag Award
The "2022 Accessible Universities Awards" organized by Higher Education Council found their owners. Pamukkale University Faculty of Education was awarded the green flag award in the category of Accessibility in Education in 2022.
In order to realize the natural education rights of disabled students in a qualified manner, Pamukkale University Faculty of Education Faculty Secretary Mustafa Mızrak and Special Education Department Instructor Res. Assist. Gizem Ergin won the green flag award in the Accessibility in Education category which is given to support and encourage the studies carried out in universities that provide a certain level of supporting information, documents, course tools and materials at various stages of the education given.
Accessible University Awards were given in two areas: Accessible University Flags and Accessible Program Orders. Accessible University Flags were evaluated in three categories as “accessibility in space (orange flag)”, “accessibility in education (green flag)” and “accessibility in socio-cultural activities (blue flag)”.
This year, a total of 1074 applications were made from 114 universities for the Accessible University Awards. According to the evaluation results made by 34 panelists; 84 universities were entitled to receive a total of 384 flags. Of these, 226 became the "orange flag" for "accessibility in space", 105 became the "green flag" for "accessibility in education", and 53 became the "blue flag" for "accessibility in socio-cultural activities". A total of 43 programs were awarded to 12 universities.
