On February 19, an educational seminar titled “Holistic Insurance Solutions Against Current Life and Property Risks” was held at Honaz Vocational School by Turkish Insurance Agents Federation (TÜSAF) Board Chairman Adnan Çelik and DESAD Denizli Insurance Agents Association Chairman Derya Eskice Erbaş. The seminar, held at the Honaz Vocational School Conference Hall, was attended by the school director, academic staff of the Department of Finance, Banking, and Insurance, and department students.

 

During the seminar, topics such as the changing role of insurance in the face of increasing global and local risks, individual and corporate risk management approaches, policy diversity, claims processes, and the current dynamics of the sector were discussed. In addition to theoretical knowledge, students were also presented with practical examples based on field experience.

 

TÜSAF Board Chairman Adnan Çelik drew attention to the importance of the insurance sector in terms of economic stability and social trust, emphasizing the significance of preparing young people for the sector with adequate qualifications. DESAD Chairman Derya Eskice Erbaş stated that university–industry cooperation would continue in order to increase insurance awareness in Denizli and support qualified human resources.

 

The event was regarded as an important step toward strengthening cooperation between the insurance sector and the university. The parties conveyed mutual goodwill and cooperation messages regarding enabling students to closely follow sectoral developments, increasing internship and practical opportunities, and organizing joint seminars and workshops.

 

Honaz Vocational School Director Assistant Professor Necla İrem İri stated that this training, in which the dynamic structure of the insurance sector was shared with students of Honaz Vocational School, was highly important and thanked the guest participants.
