The Erasmus+ inter-institutional agreement was signed during a ceremony hosted by Pamukkale University (PAU), with PAU Rector Prof. Dr. Mahmud Güngör and Prof. Dr. Khalmuradov Rustam Ibragimovich—Member of the Senate of the National Assembly of Uzbekistan and Rector of Samarkand State University (SamDU)—acting as signatories.

The agreement, which will remain in effect from 2021 to 2027, includes student and academic staff exchanges in various fields such as mathematics, physics, biology, history, archaeology, and computer engineering. Each academic year, two students from each institution will have the opportunity to study abroad for a period of five months.
