CV Preparation and Interview Techniques Discussed at Sector Days

As part of the Sector Days organized by Pamukkale University (PAU) Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences (FEAS), Human Resources Consultant Özge Solakoğlu delivered a conference titled “CV Preparation and Interview Techniques,” providing students with practical and psychological guidance for entering the workforce.

Within the scope of PAU FEAS Sector Days, Human Resources Consultant Özge Solakoğlu met with students in a conference titled “CV Preparation and Interview Techniques.” The event, held at the Melek Sözkesen Conference Hall of the Faculty of Education as part of the Career Planning course, saw high student participation.

In the first part of her talk, Solakoğlu shared her own career journey and the establishment process of the human resources consultancy company she founded. Emphasizing that not only technical competencies but also psychological preparedness play a decisive role in transitioning to professional life, she introduced the LIVE model in this context. In addition to this model, which helps individuals discover their strengths and areas for development, she discussed two key psychological concepts: the Pygmalion Effect, which shows that positive expectations increase performance, and the Golem Effect, which explains how negative expectations hinder success.

In the second part of her presentation, Solakoğlu addressed the fundamental principles of preparing an effective CV and explained competency-based interview techniques with practical examples. She highlighted the strategic importance of having strong academic and professional references before entering the job market and concluded her talk with an interactive online voting activity in which participants responded in real time.
