Academic Year Opening Lecture Held at Çal Vocational School by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Öz

The 2025–2026 Academic Year Opening Ceremony took place at Pamukkale University (PAU) Çal Vocational School (MYO). During the program, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ersan Öz delivered an opening lecture titled “Amid the Cries of Gaza: Financial Developments in Turkey and the World.”

The ceremony was attended by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ersan Öz, Çal Mayor Ahmet Hakan, Çal MYO staff, members of the district protocol, and a large number of students.

In the opening speeches, Çal Vocational School Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özkan Özbek emphasized that academic consciousness grows not within walls but in hearts and minds, urging students to think, produce, and make a difference for a fairer, more conscientious, and livable world in the new term.

Çal Mayor Ahmet Hakan highlighted the suffering in Gaza, noting it as one of the gravest examples of human tragedy, and stressed the necessity of defending justice, peace, and human rights.

During his opening lecture, PAU Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences (FEAS) faculty member and Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ersan Öz drew attention to the conditions of people in Gaza, urging sensitivity and action, and also presented an overview of global financial developments.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ersan Öz joined Çal MYO students and staff for a meal and engaged in discussions with them.
