Academic Unit Advisory Board Meeting Held at Acıpayam Vocational School

The Academic Unit Advisory Board Meeting for the 2025–2026 Academic Year was held on 15 January in the meeting hall of Pamukkale University (PAU) Acıpayam Vocational School (Acıpayam VS).

The meeting, chaired by Acıpayam VS Director Associate Professor Ali Kurt, was attended by District Governor Ramazan Cangaloğlu, Deputy Mayor Uğur Uysal, and other public institution directors as external stakeholders. The Advisory Board Meeting, which had broad participation, also included senior managers from the private sector, self-employed professionals, cooperative and chamber presidents, and alumni students as external stakeholders who shared their views. Heads of departments of the vocational school, the school secretary, and a student representative were also present.

The agenda of the meeting, where all participants took the floor in turn, was quite extensive. The meeting began with participants introducing themselves, followed by discussions on the purpose, duties, and authorities of the Advisory Board; course contents of the programs; internship processes; and inter-institutional collaborations. A general presentation of Acıpayam VS was also made. Opinions were exchanged on activities that would contribute to students’ social, cultural, and professional development and that could be implemented through collaboration between institutions.

The institutions and individuals who attended the meeting as external stakeholders were as follows: District Governor Ramazan Cangaloğlu; Deputy Mayor Uğur Uysal; Social Security Center District Director Özkan Çemek; District National Education Branch Director Emre Batur; District Agriculture Director Abdurrahman Oymak; Turkish Employment Agency (İŞKUR) Denizli Branch Director Cemil Dinç; and Acıpayam Çamlık Trade Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School Principal Ahmet Başdoğan as public institution representatives. From the private sector, Tarım Kredi Süt Inc. Quality Assurance Manager Hande Erdoğan, Securitas Security Services Branch Manager Necati Akan, and AYDEM Call Center Manager Seda Küçükoğlu provided their opinions as senior private sector managers aligned with the vocational school’s associate degree programs. Self-employed professional accountant Yunus Öz also participated. In addition, Occupational Safety Specialist Havana Dönmez from Kenez OSGB Health and Safety participated as a private sector employee. Chamber representatives included Acıpayam Tradesmen and Craftsmen Chamber President Ahat Makal, Acıpayam Chamber of Commerce representative Sabit Uz, and Yeşilyuva Shoemakers Cooperative President Arif Alagöz. From Acıpayam Tax Office, officers Melih Balaban and Mehmet Manisalı, and preschool teacher Merve Koca from Mehmet Manisalı Primary School participated as alumni representatives of Acıpayam VS.
